Founded in 1973, The Great Forest Park Balloon Race is celebrating its 46th year. Come out and enjoy one of St. Louis’ most popular events. It all begins with the Balloon Glow on Friday night. Then, crowds return to Forest Park the following day for the big race. Along with the balloon races, the event also features pony rides, local musical entertainment and concessions. It’s full of family fun!

HOP in the City Beer Festival September 15
This is one of Schlafly’s largest festivals and they’re going all out for the 20th HOP in the City Anniversary! Sample over 40 different styles and six specialty tappings that you may not find anywhere else, ever. It’s a day of live, local music, festival fare and brewers getting a chance to show off what they love to do most, create beer. Tickets are on sale on Schlafly’s website.

South Grand Fall Fest September 15
The South Grand Business District will be hosting their fifth annual Fall Festival on September 15. With shopping, live music and family activities, Fall Fest on South Grand Blvd is a can’t-miss event for all ages – and its free.

The Old Webster Jazz & Blues Festival September 15
Non-stop jazz and blues music from two stages showcasing St. Louis’ most talented performers plus food and drink from area restaurants. There will also be street entertainers with face-painting, juggling and balloons.

Q in the Lou September 21 – 23
Bar-b-que lovers can enjoy all their favorites at Q in the Lou in Kiener Plaza in downtown St. Louis. The three-day festival features top BBQ chefs from all over the country cooking up their most popular recipes, great live music, and of course, the best barbecue in America.

The Greater St. Louis Hispanic Festival September 21 – 23
The Greater St. Louis Hispanic Festival celebrates the food, music and cultures of Latin America. This year, the annual event will be held at Soulard Park just south of downtown St. Louis. The three day festival is truly a feast for the senses. There are Mexican salsa bands, folk dancers and popular Hispanic food.
